We're a very young group. In fact, when we went down the list of names in our dealer organization we came across one fact--it is made up of car enthusiasts ONLY. The group is bounded on the south by the finest repair center in San Diego, Dale Shoupe's Quality Foreign, and on the north by Geno Tomasie, who we consider to be the finest in Washington. None are without liberal experience around performance cars, either around race tracks, slaloms-or day to day driving enjoyment. They all drive competitively or maintain competitive cars. There are 27 West Coast or Regional Championships within the group. In short, we believe our dealer organization is competent to ADD to the enjoyment of our vehicles . . and to their VALUE. We all require the finest in a WORKING car, we all can't stand fussy toys that don't function all the time, and we aren't interested in enhancing our egos by name dropping of cars that were current ten or twenty years ago. We enjoy the finest in today's "working" motor cars.

What's this got to do with an advertisement in a national magazine? We think it has quite a point-it might tell you the type of transportation we offer to our friends and customers. It might tell you that we are here as a dealer organization NOT because of mass volume, exotic profits, or "to have something to sell." WE are a dealer organization because there is a small factory in England, headed by a brilliant motoring enthusiast by the name of Colin Chapman, that is building a few cars NOW that will still be current and exciting fifteen years from now-and they don't cost an arm and leg to purchase or maintain. We sell them because we like them ourselves-and our likes and dislikes are based on "working" cars. If you want to out stop anything around, out corner anything made, travel to 60 MPH in 7.5 seconds and to 100 in 22 seconds, we'd like to show you the most interesting "working" car available this year-or next year.

The LOTUS ELAN costs $4226 at the Port of Entry Los Angeles. It accidentally gives around 24 MPG, and its only resemblance to other vehicles is that it has four wheels near the corners and a steering wheel after that it is a VERY advanced transportation SYSTEM designed to deliver driving performance and pleasure. We will be there to periodically service it afterwards so that it continues to do 0-60 and 0-100 at the same rate as when it was new for a long long time. There will be 280 Lotus Elans available for purchase on the West Coast of the U.S. this calendar year. May we show you one? Thank you.
