Title: Door Window Motor
Reason: To prevent water ingress to the door window motor
Charges: U . K. - Warranty
EXPORT - Factory
- Distributor
Action: To avoid the necessity of replacing door window motors due to corrosion problems, this corrosion being attributable to water entry, it is recommended that the motor be completely sealed in a polythene bag of approximately 25cm. x 15 cm. (10in. x 6in.) dimensions.

Full instructions for access to the motor is given in Section V (Body) of the Elan Workshop Manual.

Before placing the bag over the motor, cut a small piece from one of the lower corners, thus avoiding any possible condensation forming. Retain the bag in position with the aid of rubber bands (see illustration),,

All models from Chassis No. 7008 prefix onwards, have this modification incorporated in Production.
