Good day Gentlemen.
Can anyone supply or point me to the redrawn Sprint (S4) wiring diagram referred to in various forum entries on this esteemed site please? Eyes are going, teeth and hair have already fallen out!
Regards
Bob

Do you have a copy center near you? In the US, we have Fed Ex (formerly Kinkos) business centers that numerous copy machines, etc, for this purpose. I took the one from the shop manual and they were able to blow it up to a readable size, then they laminated the copy. Easy to read and fingerprints wipe off

I reposted Gareth Flanagan's wiring diagram in PDF format herehttp://www.lotuselan.net/forums/lotus-electrical-f38/wiring-diagram-t29157.html
There is also a modified diagram in 3 sections by Peter Wrisley, I really prefer this wiring diagram since it splits into the 3 areas & shows the wire colors, however the wiring does have mods:
These diagrams should be in the reference area or Wiki....

Many Thanks Paul
Not sure why you are saying this, the PDF is still available in the linked thread https://lotuselan.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=29157&start=
It has now been downloaded over 2000 times!!

Hi Phil
Its this one which is unavailable
http://www.lotuselan.net/wiki/Elan_S4_W ... _CAD_Files
Returns a file not found message, I've downloaded the pdf and its great especially at large print sizes for a standard car
I've modified the wiring and so was looking for a cad version that I could modify
Cheers Paul

The time has definitely come when I must redo the wiring on my 1969 Elan S4. It was pretty chaotic when I acquired to car 30+ years ago and I have added to the chaos by adding new items such as more fuses and an immobiliser and doing quick repairs with new wiring.
There is barely any room left behind the dashboard which makes any attempt to access anything there very difficult and liable to cause even more problems. I would estimate that about only two thirds of the wiring is active and necessary.
I have not yet decided whether to remove all of the wiring and replace it wire by wire or to replace it with modern thinwall multiwires (in which case I would have to leave a wiring diagram for future owners when I am no more).
What is the experience of other owners who have done a rewire?
It would be of great help if I could obtain a CAD drawing of the wiring so that I can plan the rewire and record any alterations. I wonder whether Pharriso still has his CAD drawing on file and could let me have a copy?
