Hi All,
I have searched using google and this sites tool, but haven't found a definitive answer. Does anyone know if Triumph french blue is the same as Lotus french blue?
The following are listed as cross references I pulled from this thread. It notes that Lotus french blue was a triumph color, but doesn't say it was Triumph french blue

ICI P0307210 7210 LOT0046
The wiki on this site lists:
Pinchin Johnson: 6170X5105 (different from above)
ICI: P0307210
PPG: LOT.0046
A triumph site lists:
PPG 14658
Dupont 43021
Thanks,

I also had a heck of a time
73-75 BMC
Volvo and others use it.
I was told mine was French Blue, but it is much darker. I asked the seller for the previous owners contact. Finally got in touch with the “body shop”.
Their claim is a Ford from the 70’s.
So I was at a loss. Had 3 different body shops optical paint analyzer, and tried the 3 results. Nope.
I dont think mine is a Wedgewood or Royal.
Edit, the reason I quite like my paint, is it has some Purple, and Dark pigments as well as some metallic.

Scott,
Lotus French Blue is the same as Triumph French Blue.
Early colours are often Triumph based.

Your colour is definitely not French Blue nor a Lotus colour, from what I can see. It looks like the Ford claim is true, Escorts of the late 70s had a similar looking colour.
Photo of Lotus French Blue rear, Wedgewood Blue front, attached for comparison.

I found this colour sheet a few years back. Can’t vouch for accuracy, however it looks to be well researched.
What colour was this one Tim?
White with black bumpers David.
Actually, that looks like Wedgewood Blue and a press car too. However, D is a 1966 plate, whereas Wedgewood Blue was not introduced until mid 67. So it could be Medici Blue which was also a Standard Triumph colour.
