TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
BODY:
Advanced composite monocoque with minimum-drag aerodynamic cross-sections, formed with unidirectional and stitched high-strength carbon fibre in an epoxy resin matrix. Titanium inserts are incorporated at the load-bearing points.
FRONT SUSPENSION:
Monoblade with aerofoil cross-section, formed with unidirectional carbon fibre over P.U. foam core as monocoque.
STEERING COLUMN:
Titanium, fitted with aero bars.
REAR SUSPENSION:
Integral with monocoque.
BRAKES:
Not required
DRIVE:
Steel/titanium fixed-ratio chainset, pedals & rear sprocket to suit rider.
WHEELS:
Front: CX composite rim with aero spokes, supplied by Mavic.
Rear: Flush composite disc, supplied by Mavic.
TYRES:
High performance 'Olympic' 110g tubulars, supplied by Continental Tyres.

Spencer dissapproves.
The pancake was awarded to him for being 3rd out of three.
He was dissadvantaged having used a wheel normally associated with Hamsters & his breed.
An ongoing protest against Lotus claiming that the competition was not riding a "proper bike" has yet to reach a conclusion.
He is now an honorary menber of "The Flat Earth Society"
