Value of an Elan Sprint project please

Original Sprints didn't really come with 5 speed boxes - apart from a handful - so worth identifying how it acquired one.

Even so the lotus 5 speed box is worth a bit.

Still not got a price but found out he's had it 20 years and it's apart as it was accident damaged at the front. The chassis has had the front relaxed by spider sport and he bought a second hand soft top she'll to replaced the original damaged one.

And how do you tell if it's a converted soft top from a coupe?

I think people get a bit carried away with values - There were a couple of very good projects on ebay last year that went for sensible money.

What do you deem as a sensible value?

Personally ?6-8k for a car in boxes - Top end ?10k for a complete car with all the bits more than that it needs to be a runner.
