have a look at these on ebay and cheap as, these are the ones with the wings on the fastener.

I can't see alloy ones with the wings - these would obviously be the pic as my steel ones have some surface rust.

There is a ton of the fastener parts to choose from.........but where do you find the triangular recessed part that the "butterfly or Mickey Mouse ears" fit into??

Small aircraft such as Pipers and Cessnas use Dzus fastners to hold the engine covers on , although they are smaller ones which use a screwdriver to open and close. You could try a light aircraft maintenance company. The only problem is that parts for small aircraft cost even more than parts for Lotus cars...

Try Aircraft Spruce for all this and AN bolts too. They are a supplier to experimental aircraft hobby and even published an automotive catalog, since they know there are many car people and racers that use the same stuff. They have a website that is easy to navigate order from. I compared prices on AN bolts with AS, Pegasus, Truechoice and another and found AS to be more consistently cheaper too.

Thanks for your enquiry, we make the oddie fastener plates which will accept various styles of retainer, the plates can be found on our web site part no.BF0100 at ?10.64 each. They are pressed in 1mm stainless steel and come undrilled so as to fit as many applications as possible

Depending on where you live, you might also check to see if there are any aircraft manufacturers.
I bought boxes of all kinds of Dzus fasteners and aircraft hardware from the old Boeing surplus store. Unfortunately as always seems to happen, the bean counters closed the facility. You could buy anything in the way of aircraft hardware, materials, and tools by the pound, and much cheaper than any retail or even surplus stores. They do everything by auction now, but it is not the same because you need to buy lots, so the dealers get all the good stuff. I sounds like somebody's brother-in-law has the inside track.
I have a full set of aircraft air tools, and 5 gallon plastic pails filled with hardware from my days working on race cars.
Check though, there is always the possibility that some aircraft company within travel for you or a friend might still have a surplus facility.
