As I have time on my hands I thought I would post a few photos of the 1/12 scale Tamiya Lotus 49 model that I built some years ago now. I have always been a fan of Tamiya kits as they go together well and the attention to detail is excellent.

Many +1 re Tamiya!
My 49, built maybe mid seventies, had a break up on house-moving corner! My 72D had a catastrophic let go on the same corner so much so it was binned! I had hoped to fix the 49, but not so.
They appear on ebay regularly so might get a new one

I built one in the 70's and modified it to have chassis mounted wings as the original kit had the suspension mounted ones. A great kit, but I had to save my pocket money for months.

Excellent skills gentlemen. Mine are in the loft, for when I retire.
