Help with flywheel/clutch/cover identification?

I am working through the pile of parts that came with my 69 Federal Elan+2, and some (well, quite a few actually) things don't seem to fit together. This flywheel is, I think, the standard steel flywheel:

But the clutch/cover setup is 8.5"

and the disc/cover does not fit on the flywheel:

The best I can figure is this is a standard steel flywheel (Dave Bean says 074Q8100, I think) but a heavy duty disc/cover 026Q7010/026Q7009 or 026Q7011/028Q7009. The only ID I can find is a Borg & Beck number on the cover:

LC 03JC 049A that I haven't been able to find much on (one UK eBay sale called it a "racing" cover).

So if I have this right, I either can keep they flywheel and need a an 8" standard disc/cover setup 036Q6010/026Q6009

OR

I can keep the heavy duty disc/plate and get a stupidly expensive heavy duty aluminum flywheel 074Q8108.

Do I have this right? :?

Anybody have a stupidly expensive 074Q8108 flywheel they want to sell stupidly cheap? :lol:

Will any of the parts in these boxes every actually fit together? :roll:

It is possible that you have a Cross Flow (711) flywheel instead of the Lotus f/wheel.
The pcd of the clutch cover is a smaller diameter on the 711 compared with the Lotus unit, the difference can be seen
in these pics.
I have included a pic of a standard Lotus flywheel and it can be seen it is the same diameter as your f/wheel.

Thank you! I can see the flywheel mounting pins are wrong, and how the B&B should mount on a correct one. The Dave Bean parts page is confusing, it says there should be a standard 8" disc where your flywheel pic clearly shows it is 8.5".

So that is a p/n 074Q 6100 flywheel you have there? And what I need?

The Elans with the four speed gearbox used an 8? clutch while the Elans with a five speed g/box used a 8.5? clutch (with a different pressure plate & release bearing)
It is common practice to fit the 8.5? clutch plate (friction plate) with the four speed gear box still using the four speed pressure plate (it fits with no problems and gives you a little more friction surface area)
My flywheel has probably had a 8.5? clutch and is why it shows the larger diameter.....I don't remember as it is with one of my ?engine projects?
I believe the 074 part number you are referring to is actually a Europa part number and it superseded the previous Lotus part number for the flywheel as the Europa flywheel has the timing marks marked on its rim.....hence a new part number but it will still fit the Elans.
To the best of my knowledge basically there are only two types of Lotus flywheels for the TC engine .....the four bolt and the six bolt so any six bolt Lotus TC flywheel will do whether it is the later Europa (with timing marks) or the earlier Elan type.

Taking the side view, this flywheel really doesn't match either your TC or 711 Xflow pics

Yes I see some differences but I'm not sure all crossflows had the same flywheel as it came in 1100/1300 and 1600, there is also the later Fiesta which had a crossflow engine and I believe the flywheel is different again.
It is also possible that your flywheel has been lightened/modified as the 1600 crossflow is a heavy piece of metal.
