Elan +2 wheel nuts

Does anybody know if the +2 centre lock wheel nuts are a bespoke item or are they (presumably) pilfered from the likes of MG or Triumph

They are a Lotus item, therefore very bespoke! Susan Miller stocks them.

They are certainly not the same as the Rudge pattern used on wire wheels common to MG or Triumph. The geometry for engaging the wheel is completely different. There was a recent discussion of the thread pitch and diameter on this form but I could not find in in a quick search.

Yes I accept that the general design is different for wire wheels, but as M,G's and Triumph's are fitted with alloys, I did wonder if there was a cross somewhere.

Most alloy wheels I have seen on MGs and Triumphs are bolt on. Minilite, and perhaps others made hub adapters allowing use of their wheels on splined wire wheel hubs and retaining the standard knock on wheel nuts.
