Do 5.5" minilites fit on an S3 without mods?

Here is an ebay link to a set of 5.5" wide minilites:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162081772579?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I am still considering minilites but I doubt I will bid on these as it is collection in person only from miles away. In it he says that they fit a S3/4. I am surprised at this because in my experience, the std 4.5" wheels only just fit under the rear arches so how can 1" wider alli wheels fit? Is the offset on all Minilites the same or can it vary for different models (S3, 4, +2) does anyone know? Has anyone fitted 5.5 Minitlies on to a std (unmodified suspension / wheel arches) S3? From what I have seen, Minilite only do a 5" or 5.5" (i.e. no 4.5") for the Elan and I was thinking even the 5" would be very close but I guess it must fit otherwise they wouldn't sell it would they?
Just wondering.
Cheers.
Keith.

The Plus 2 steels are 5 1/2 inches wide, and they don't fit on my S3 with 175 / 70 tyres fitted, but they do fit on my S4. I guess that the Minilite offset is the same.

Keith, I have 5.5'' Minilites with 175 tyres on a S3 (or a S2.5 as Paul Matty would call it) with no modification to the bodywork. Rear 'A' frames had to be rounded off as usual to give clearance.

At certain times Minilite was willing to produce wheels with offset specified by the buyer. They did this for me. So it is difficult to know if these wheels will fit or not without understanding more about their provenance.
