Elan KO Wheels

Here are pictures of Elan KO wheels that I took when we had the Elan Touring this year.
It is so cool to see wheels change the look of Elan and each one still fit very nicely.
I have original KO wheels but they are not straight so I am using Panasports Wheels.
There are no places to fix the original wheels or very hard to find or very expensive to restore the originals.
I would appreciate if you can let me know how reproduction KO wheels are?

I like the original wheel.
The 26r design in black or yellow looks good.
The pictures with that plain wheel 26r kind of design look weird.
The minilite design look definitevely fugly.
I like them on my super seven but on an elan it does not go well. Especially this design where the minilite arms/branch seems to stick out.

The solid 26R type was the earlier design. Pretty ugly in my view.
Not sure I particularly like the minilite/panasport style either but I can't talk as not everybody likes my style of wheel....
If the hubs are the proper four hole 26R style with the pins bolted into the wheel, they would have a different thread so that the alloy spinners don't strip.
If the chaps using the hex nut or the standard spinners are on those hubs they have an incompatabilty between the threads which I would consider a tad dodgy.
Ah, ha...
Having just reviewed the pictures I have noted that those wheels do not have the four studs fitted so I wonder how the wheels are 'keyed'. Perhaps they have been drilled at the back for the five pegs.......?
Also, I wouldn't wire the 26R spinner to the valve......!
The yellow version is slightly better but 'in the day' we wired to one of the studs.

The 26r wheels require special hubs. However some of the usual suspects have 26r replicas in aluminium and not in magnesium. These replicas will suit our classic hub with pegs!
