Hi , I have had the alloy wheels on my plus 2 .Not sure why , but now the inside of the rims now catch on the rear suspension arms ever so slightly but enough and has failed MOT on this. The garage has suggested that wheel spacers will aleviate the problem, but can,t find any that will fit the stud pattern of the elan.
Any suggestions please or does any one know where I can get a pair.
Many thanks

With a little patience,a pair of tinsnips and some 1/16" ali sheet, shouldn't take all that long??
John
P.S. JUST for the MOT how about 5 washers on each wheel?

Hi
I do not have alloys so do not know; but would washers affect the amount of peg in contact with the wheel. Obviously it would be very bad if the wheel sheared off the pins!!
As I say I do not know; just something to consider.

Have you had the rear upright off the wishbone lately? If any spacer washers were displaced or installed in a different position this can cause rubbing.
