Rear Wheel Bearing Housing

Hello,
Can someone answer this simple question?
What's the difference between the early and the late model of the rear wheel bearing housing?
I saw in the catalogue of P. Matty that they only have rear wheel bearing housing for 68 on Elan. Is this model also suitable for earlier Elan models?
Regards.
Olivier.

There were two patterns fitted, the early "Issue 16" and the late "Issue 18".
The housings are externally identical and interchangeable. Internally, the Issue 18 used a wider and more robust inboard bearing, which also requires a different axle shaft.
So, the housing+bearing+shaft assembly will fit any Elan.
