Tyre recommendations

PostPost by: Alex » Wed Feb 13, 2008 11:54 am

My +2 in a box (or many boxes!) is nearing completion and I'll be needing a set of tyres, 165/13's, but what profile. I'd imagine 70, 75 or 80ish but what would anyone recommend is correct for rolling circumference.

Also does anyone have any recommendations for make and type of tyre. They will be for low milage use and no track days etc.

Cheers,

Alex

Hi Alex,

I believe that 80 is the correct profile for 165/13's on the +2.

I'll be getting Yokohamas this month (165/80 13's) to replace my ancient Dunlop (rear tyres) and generic (fit for a Micra!) front tyres.

I have a set of Yokohoma A Drives fitted based on recommendations from other people on here. Picked them up for about ?120 for 5 delivered by shopping around on line. Have to say from the little I have used the car since its MOT last week before the starter motor packed up on Monday they do seem pretty damn grippy.
Cheers
