PostPost by: andrewdmoore » Fri Nov 09, 2007 8:58 pm

Sorry not a new topic I know but what tyres do people use and how much did they cost. Can you only reply if you're in the UK please, then I have a chance of getting something similar.

Thanks, Andrew

Goodyear GT2. I had them fitted to my Sprint 6 months ago. Happy with them. I?ve got the standard steel wheels.

Sorry, I should have asked what profile you've fitted. I know they're 155s - are they 80 profile & what speed rating should we fit?

Thanks again

Michelin XAS FF 155x80x13 H (130mph) rated, expensive at ?100 per corner but the best you can fit. Available from Longstone Tyres, see http://www.steveww.org/index.php?id=83 for full details.

Hi Andrew,
sorry, I don?t live in the UK but recently I bought a set of NANKANG 155 HR13 tyres in Germany. As they are produced somewhere in Asia they will probably be available all over the world.

They are the original size, speed index H means they are road legal as well and they look the part. Plus they were very, very cheap at under 30? each!

My other set of wheels are shod with 155HR13 Michelin XAS, which cost 6times as much!!!

I haven?t driven the Nangkangs yet, but at that price I just couldn?t resist to try them out.

Regards,
Juergen
