I found the reference to these in the archive.
Are they still made?
Can anyone suggest UK dealers who can supply? My usual (local) guys both couldn't find them listed.
Ideally someone near Camberley / Bracknell / Reading area
Thanks
Bruce

Greg,
Coker Tire carries them.
155HR13-MICHELIN XAS FF BLK
SKU: 51205......................$142.00
165HR13 MICHELIN XAS BLACKWALL TIRE (tube type)
SKU: 51206 .....................$153.00
I don't know why the 165's are tube type but the 155's apparently are not. Anybody have any ideas?
Bill

Bill,
My (uk-bought) 155 HR 13 XAS FF tyres are marked "TUBE TYPE". I initially had them fitted without tubes, but they leaked air like a sieve. This may be down to the rim profile of my Minilites, so steel rims may be better. Nonetheless, Michelin recommend tubes.
On another cautionary note, the tyres are also marked "SIDE FACING INWARDS" .......... make sure your tyre fitter can read !
Mine couldn't ! ..... just found out while checking the tube question.
So thanks Bill, that's another job for this weekend !!
Regards,
Stuart.

Sod's Law, but three out of the four were wrong. Pleased to find that the fitter switched them round free of charge !
Another note of caution: these rims come very close to the ends of the 'A' arms (this is well known, and an angle grinder or file will solve the problem), however it also means that the traditional place for sticking the wheel balancing weights will cause the same problem.
Have your fitter place the weights inboard on the rim. It is more difficult to balance the wheel this way, but it can be done, and will solve the clearance issue.
Regards,
Stuart.

Greg, I am also looking for the xas tires and I am on the west coast and Coker has a California location. Expensive but I like the 2.9 inch Dia. along with my 3.55 diff. and a semiclose trans. for reducing the revs at 65 mph.
