Wheel Brace and Jack Ratchet

PostPost by: mac5777 » Thu Apr 14, 2011 8:26 pm

Hi, I was one of the lucky ones to get one of Greg's designed jacking plates that had the rubber surface. It is made from a whole sheet of the best multiple layer plywood. It works well with my original jack that came with my Elan. I added a wood block to my jack to create a flat jacking surface with Greg's jacking plate. Our buddy that made Greg's devise turned me on to a low profile, 3000 lb floor jack for under $60.00 to be used in the garage. The best of all set ups.

Mazzini did you get the ratchet handle that you wanted?

Because I finally found my ratchet handle !

It will need dismantling by drilling out the rivets and will need an internal rebuild because at present the ratchet spins freely both ways. Busted spring inside?

I'm still puzzled as to why I can't find my corresponding jack, so I want to have a better look for that before I sell off the handle for contributions to my new-cylinder-head fund, but I thought I would post this to see if you are still interested.
