Tyre question?
Hi
I have just been involved in a private conversation with a Gentleman from Canada about Elan tyres and getting them shipped out there and i thought there might be some detail that might be of interest to everyone.
We ship the Michelin Classic range to most of the world free of shipping charges.
Also when you look on our web page https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classi ... /elan.html it will list VAT. this does not apply if you are outside the European Union.
Sorry for the commercial quote. i just thought it might save some people some money

I didn't realize you did free shipping to the US. I ordered my XAS from Coker Tire. At the current exchange rate their prices are within a few dollars of yours but they charged nearly $200 to ship to my corner of the country. I'll remember this when it's time to replace them. Thanks for pointing this out!

It is also worth noting that if you are outside the EU then you pay the excl. VAT price int the incl.
We have a 20% Value added tax that does not apply to customers outside the European Union.

Well if i knew what was going to happen next year i would go and tell the politians, because they clearly do not have a Scooby Doo any more than we do.
i actually think we won't know the difference.

Hey Dougal Cawley, nice to see you over here... is that Piglet of yours still sick?
Cheers,
Pete.

Oh, I've had some fun in Frazer Nashes and know that their club is full of eccentrically wonderful folk.
I remember once driving into the display ring at the Yeovil Festival of Transport in a Meadows engined Falcon (HX 2437, photo below) and the commentator announcing "Ah,ah! A Frazer Nash. Now these were the hairiest cars of the 1930s!".
I too believe that Chapman must have liked Nashes. I wonder if he ever drove one? They were, after all, the Elans of their time!
