Help me identify a steel wheel please

One way to see if the centre has been flipped in the outer is to look at the beads on the inside, usually the outer bead is flat and narrow, the inner bead is a gentle curve to the outer edge of the rim and wider than the bead on the outer edge. On an Elan, if the wheel is flipped this would give the wheel quite a dished look when fitted to the car and contrary to the pictures already shown.

To check the backspace of what you have, take a piece of timber to fit across the centre of the wheel and resting on each outer edge of the rim, now measure through the centre hole from the timber to the centre hole. You can do this on both sides of the wheel and then compare with the other wheels you have. This will show you what inset you have when the wheel is mounted on the car and perhaps enable you to match up all four rims.

That wheel does not appear to be standard, as it appears the wheel center is standing too proud, i.e. a negative rim offset.

Having had a second look at the photos you posted, can you confirm whether the wheel has had a band installed in the centre. There appears to be what look like two welds going around the centre of the wheel roughly an inch apart, can you confirm what I am looking at.

If you look at the topic about bent wheels posted a couple of days ago you will see Eric has posted a photograph of a wheel he was straightening on a jig. Around the centre you can make out the rivets that hold the outer and centre together, which looks different from what I can make out on yours.
