Sprint Wheel Dimensions

PostPost by: mark030358 » Mon Dec 09, 2024 11:35 am

Hi,
Before I have to go up into the bowles of my garage, (a major activity considering the amount of stuff yp there) does anyone have the dimensions below for the 155 x 13 wheels for the sprint or can get them easily?

thanks
Mark

From my notes on a stock '68 S4se (steel 4.5" KO):

backspace (B on your figure) 106mm
frontspace (C on your figure) 35mm
so A = B+C = 141mm , giving a positive offset of about +35mm

(give or take 1mm ;) )

I did not assess D

I did this exercise recently and got quite close results to nmauduit. Hopefully these numbers give some idea of the variance.

These are knock off wheels taken off a S3. I will check later whether there are any part numbers, not sure if they are original (also not sure if the knock off dimensions are the same as bolt on, but you say a sprint so probably K/O.)

Width approx 136mm (Vs 141):

Backspace 104mm (Vs 106):

ET also approx 36 mm.

Hi Guys.
Please excuse me for this, but Mark is asking for measurements from a 155x13" wheel which is 5.5" between the rims and was fitted to Sprint versions.
Nmaudit and ill-will, you appear to have measured a 145 x13 wheel which is 4.5" as fitted to the S3.
Some measurements may be the same.
Sorry if I am interfering.

Eric, I'm certain my Sprint has 4 1/2" wheels, fitted with 155 size tires. I believe the +2 has the 5 1/2" wheel.
A wheel width is measured from where the bead sits and is stamped inside the rim. The 'A' dimension
would be 5 1/2" for a 4 1/2" wheel, All KO steel oem wheels, other than +2, have the same dimensions.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies and my apologies for not replying sooner.. granddad duties.

Interesting, I thought Sprints had wider wheels, but I guess not. Looks like I'll need to go for a look see to double check.

thanks
