Is there anywhere in the UK where I can get original Lotus Elan steel wheels straightened and trued?

Just come across these people while Googling - they claim to be able to straighten any wheel.

"We use our own proprietary technology, which uses heat, hydraulic pressure, customized tools and metallurgical skill to straighten aluminum alloy, magnesium or steel rims to factory specifications."

Thanks for that Roger. I recognise the text on their website as the same as that on the Rim & Wheel Works Inc website of Waltham MA. I did not know that they had a branch/franchise in the UK. I'll give them a call.

I would be interested in how much they would charge for each lotus wheel with a few mm run-out.

They are about 1 mile from my house!

My dads garage has used them a few times.

They can straighten pretty much anything, and also fill gouges etc and do general refurbs.

My dad uses them to strip and dip alloy wheels, then powder coat and repaint to manufacturer spec. He only gets charged about ?50 per wheel for a full service. (One off customers may be more)

I would imagine that if they can fix delicate modern alloy wheels, then old steelies will be a piece of piss.
