Rim Question

PostPost by: DJThom » Wed Nov 14, 2007 1:53 pm

Recently when I began mounting my new tires I noticed that my spare rim is significantly different than the 4 on the car to the point where I can't put it on the car without significant rubbing.

The rim is wider and has a different offset. Pictures attached to illustrate. Does anyone know what this rim is from? Perhaps it was custom made as there is no stamping on the inside of the rim like there is on the standard rim.

Does anyone want this rim in trade for a normal one?

It is almost certainly a +2 wheel. You should be able to find the size stamped into the rim, 13 X 5 1/2 JSL.

I am need of a spare wheel for my +2. I will see if I can come up with an Elan one. It may be a few days.
