Rear wheel bearing

PostPost by: saildrive2001 » Wed Mar 07, 2007 6:54 pm

Does anyone have a non Lotus part # for the inner rear wheel bearing early style. I thought it was from the 60's Cortina. NAPA got me a bearing that is an SKF BR88506 bearing. The id. & od. plus the oa thickness of the inner race are correct but the thickness of the outer race is only about 2/3 the original,so the inner race protrudes both sides instead of only one side.

I had a seniors moment & asked about the wrong bearing. Because of an accident many years ago, when it was repaired they used an early style housing on the left side & I have the original late style on the right hand side. What I wanted was the part # for the late style inner bearing which is wider than the outer bearing. As I said in my first post the one I got was narrower in the outer race. Can anyone help?
