Knock off spinner Wrench

Can anyone using Sarto Rochleau's spinner removal tool please tell me what what make/type of torque wrench they are using with it and where they sourced it/cost? Thank you very much. Seaandmoor[/u]

If you are going to use a torque wrench, use a 1/2 inch drive, 250 ft/lb, reversible, ratcheted action torque wrench. Reversible will work on both sides of the car. Some only torque in one direction. I found this on ebay delivered for $41.00.
I called MIT and was going to buy enough to get a discount at $29.00 and offer them with my knockoff tool. The price is great since it has a life time warranty. I bought two to try and later decided not to offer them with the tool. Not because of quality. MIT has a website that shows who handles the wrenches retail in the US.
Give me your email and I'll send you the new instruction sheet that talks about the torque and I'll try to find the contact info on the wrench. I tried attaching the instruction but the file was to big with the pictures. Lotus says 200 to 220 ft/lbs of torque on the earless spinners, I use 200. Using a 25" torque wrench is the best way.
Dave Bean and Ray at rdEnterprises now handle the knockoff tool in the US.
This torque wrench and a knockoff tool is for Keith for his work on my webers.

I was sent information from Lotuselan.net a year or so, that spec the elan spinners torque at 160 to 180 ft/lbs of torque. I can not find it again. My lotus manual shows 200 to 220 for the earless spinners. Seemed high, I use 200 and the wheels stay on.
You may be able to find a torque wrench over there and not have the shipping. But get one that has all of the prior post qualities.

Hi, yes, got one of your gadgets for knocking off/on the 3 eared lotus spinners and the instruction sheet although on your sheet it says 1" hex whereas in your elan.net posted message you say 1/2"
I think I might have found something but it's A LOT more than $41.
Will investigate further but if you could clarify 1" or 1/2" and I may need to get back to you for the MIT torque wrench if I can't find anything over here at an affordable price.

i remember you got one of my tools. The tool has a 1 inch hex shaft and requires one inch socket. At the end of the breaker bar or torque wrench should have a 1/2 inch square drive that fits into the socket The 3/8 drive will not be strong enough for the torque.
Some torque wrenches can costs $150.00. Sears Craftsman torque wrenches cost $99.00 US. MIT was cheap and work.
I'll see what it will cost to purchase 10 and then what it will cost to ship to UK.
If any other lotus guys who have my tool and may want one of the 10 torque wrenches, let me know. The more I buy the cheaper it is.
