Wobbly wheel

Hi
I have squirrelly steering.
I have found that my offside front wheel has play in it. On the horizontal. None perceptible vertical.
At first I thought it was the torque of the stubb. So I checked it at 68lbft as per manual.
But I still have play. The disk and wheel, in fact the whole hub seems to have play.
Could it be a knackered bearing ?
Other side is fine !!

Check for wear in the track rod end or steering rack. Could also be the wheel bearing, but I find that is best felt in the vertical plane.

Hope it is in the tie rod end (called track rod above). It can also be in the rack. And if so, much more difficult to cope with. You can replace rod ends quickly and inexpensively, if in North America I recommend British Parts Northwest (early Spitfire).
