Triumph steering rack mounts

I'm trying to find some thread where somewhere has fitted rack mounts from the Triumph Spit/GT6 but only finding references to to alloy mounts being fitted. So the question: is it possible to fit Triumph mounts as shown? They almost look too narrow and not be against the flanges of the rack and rely on clamping force to hold the rack.
Or, are the ones from our usual vendors custom made for our rack mounting surface?

Where did you source those solid ones?
Thanks,
Mike

Ebay. Here's one of the links:

A search of "triumph rack mounts" will bring up some others.
Here's the fancy ones;

A question for those who have run these "solid" steering rack mounts: what happens to ride quality and especially to steering wheel jolt over the bumps?
(I'm a guy who really values a supple/smooth/quiet ride, at whatever level one can expect/extract from our vintage cars )
Thanks,
Randy

Randy, I was racing and will just stick with the solid mounts on the car. I have rose-jointed suspension. In your shoes, I would stay with the standard mounts. A stock Elan is a lovely thing. Andy
