Removable steering wheel

I'm looking for a quick release steering wheel kit for my Elan. Any ideas?

I purchased mine from Pete Bicknells [a roundy round race shop] for both the formula vee and my 7 ,the 5 sided one starts to 'rack' or work loose causing movement very quickly -- I recommend the splined set up as it stays firm ---both require welding the adapter to the steering shaft -and are designed for a race wheel with 3 bolt attachment so you may have to fabricate an adapter plate for your exisitng wheel or add a new undrilled wheel to the cost - I did both .DO NOT adjust the wheel for centre while driving and be sure the wheel is locked in position before driving ---they cost about 60 dollars each but if you are old and arthritic as I am they ease egress and ingress immeasurably and are well worth the investment . ---ed

Here, Keith Franck had hunted down a solution using the Triumph splines:

"Installed the steering wheel this morning in 45 minutes without any problems. The splined hub fit the Triumph Spitfire steering column perfectly. The wheel moved towards me by an 1 inch as measured on the backside to the dash. The horn worked first try. I'll have to find a Lotus Emblem horn button that fits this Momo steering wheel. At this point I can highly recommend this setup. I'm most pleased with this well designed and well made Canadian product"

Yes ,they are arround 240 dollars and I believe bolt on the existing spline using the center nut from Tecniqauto in B. C. . I preferred to make the attachment to the steering shaft more permanent . --e

Thanks for info. I ended up getting a weld on hub and new wheel from my local, oval track, parts store for about $116 total.
