RE-fitting rack

I took advice from my last post and have sourced shims for the rack height on my +2 project......now to fit the rack.
I am aproaching it like this and would like to know if you agree.
1) I'm going to screw extension arms on as far as they'll go and tighten.
2) Centre rack by turning all the left/right and finding centre, obviously after bolting rack down.
3) Connect to ball joints
4) Fit wheels and adjust toe to roughly zero via string from rear wheels
This is just to enable me to get it to a specialist tracking centre.
Is this ok? and is ordinary grease ok to lube the teeth on rack.
Many thanks once more lads,
Kenny
