I have started to notice a steering clunk, especially at low or no speed, happens when I turn the wheel about 3/4 to 1 1/2 turns either way. It's as iff something it hitting or getting blocked, like the steering knuckle joint, but I can't seem to see anything. Any ideas?

If it isn't the track rod ends, is there any play (up & down) in either end of the rack ?
Check the steering wheel hasn't come loose.
Check the column clamp under the dashboard if it is the (likely) collapsable type.
Check the flexible coupling (under the radiator/bottom hose somewhere).
Check for a worn suspension joint, e.g. trunnions.
Can't think of anything else at the moment...
Good luck

Get someone to turn the steering wheel both ways just enough to make it clunk while you look. Usually you will see it this way.
