Just to clarify my comments I wasn't implying that there were only three red interiors, but that my car was rumoured to be one of a group of three cars ordered together for a Canadian racing team, all three being white with red interiors. All of that of course was only talk, by my car does have nice red molded plastic bits and red vinyl on the seats, and the interior has never been restored save for the carpeting which I replaced around 1980 if I recall correctly. If anyone on here knows any more about the Elans that raced at Mosport in Canada in the sixties perhaps you may be able to tell me more about my (originally) White/red S3SE DHC, or my yellow S1 on JAP Magna's There must be some pictures floating around out there...
A white S3 S/E dhc with red trim? I've seen fhc's but never a dhc - please post photos, it must look great.

Hi Mazzini,
My red interior is quite a bit darker than the pictures posted below. I painted the car blue years ago. The interior is still original so the material is relatively faded and I don't have very good pictures, but I will post a couple, that I happen to have close by. It does look better in person than in these poor quality pictures, which were snapped inside the garage with the roof up. The console is moulded in red also, but sadly I was silly enough to paint it black many years ago... I will try to get some better pictures posted soon.

Hi knockoffnut,
I found this post and the photos of your S3 with red interior. I own a 67 S3 coupe which when I bought it had a red interior. It was originally painted white. I had always assumed it had been retrimmed: it is mostly leather with some vinyl.
Was your crashpad originally red, and do you know what material(s) were used for your interior?
.
Thanks!
