Chapman signature steering wheel repair

PostPost by: lotocone » Wed Sep 25, 2024 4:24 pm

I am in the US with a Chapman signature steering wheel that needs repair to be used. The rim is broken and the plastic cover is cracked. Len Chandler can do the work, but the shipping will be very high to the UK.

Can anyone recommend a repair shop in the US?

I would like to get it repaired before selling it.

Thanks for any leads.

You could always just have the metal ring welded, add 1/2” or 5/8…? Heater hose, then wrap with stitched cover.
Dono if you will recoup costs otherwise.

Thanks, that's something to consider. I would like to keep the steering wheel as original as possible though.

They are not inexpensive but do quality work.

Thanks Type74. I wasn't aware of that repair company.
