Plus 2 steering lock

Hi, Is it possible to change the ignition steering lock on the S130 without removing the column from the car

Might be, but since taking the column out is so easy I'm not sure I'd suffer the local working conditions with it remaining installed

Doubt it is of any help but I changed the steering lock on my Sprint without removing the column, how similar to a Plus Two it is I'm afraid I dont know.

Thanks for the replies, I think I prefer to tackle it from the driver's seat. From past experience I struggled to release the column
Locks available on Ebay for a reasonable price if your not worried about originality

Highly unlikely... designed so you can't!

The steering lock is held to the column with 2 anti-tamper screws whose heads snapped off on assembly.

Here’s the picture you need.

You need to remove the 2 bolts from the clamp around the column, which are security bolts, and the two from round the other clamp, which I think are normal bolts. I don’t think it will be easy in situ. As other have said remove the column.

When I replaced my lock (column in place) the shear bolts had been tightened but not enough to shear off the heads so it was easy to remove them.
