Steering wheel centre and badge

Hi all
I have an early sprint with a large boss Springalex steering wheel boss (not Motolita) and am looking for the plastic cap that covers the horn and hides the nut that holds the wheel to the column. It is around 2 inches diameter.
Any ideas on where to source one would be appreciated.
Also, what is the correct badge for this and where can it be sourced
Many thanks
Gavin

I think I they are unobtanium after my research at least the black and silver logo cap which cracks over time. I actually made a silicone mold and casted one from clear epoxy resin which looked great but couldn't get the paint to adhere well. So, I'm trying to mold from another crystal clear polymer material. Will let you know if I have success.
Thanks,
David D.

Thanks David
I think the one I have is a flat plastic dish with a lip that plugs into the two inch hole left by the horn unit and from what I have seen the badge seems to be stuck inthe middle. The ones that I have seen to date seem to use the same badge as the top of the gear stick but they do look a little lost in the plastic dish.
The horn is not activated by pressing the inner boss but by the outer ring which is sprung.
I'll try to get a photo
Cheers
Gavin

There are pics in these two threads of both the centre badge and the push.

Gav,
have just dug my wheel out of storage. The centre cap doesn't look like the one shown above (which does look like it has had a Lotus logo/badge stuck on top.
Mine looks like it was all part of an original casting (not sure how the logo is put on there) but it is quite a Matt background not shiny at all. The outer part has very fine lines on going inwards towards the centre whilst the centre part is smooth and not raised. You may need to zoom in to see it properly. I am sure as I can be that mine is an original!

Nope! you are wrong!.....it is original and genuine and is not stuck on, it is from my Oct1972 Sprint and is as it was supplied by Lotus.
Sorry Gav, I'm afraid I dont know where you can get one .....maybe Sue Miller?
