Steering Wheel Boss

I have a signed Chapman steering wheel but it has a later sprint boss can anyone tell me if this can be altered to take the earlier tall boss. There was someone on fleabay selling the taller boss at one time not sure if they frequent this site at all or if anyone knows of a tall boss going spare?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
The early boss does fit the later flatter type steering wheel. You have to drill out the rivet used to hold on the aluminium plate. This extra hole is visible on the old type boss if you remove the horn push but is not visible externally.
I have a some of the old type boss as I had new ones cast. I use a new one on my car as it is a much better fit. I do have originals as well.
