Steering column S1/S2

Looks like I may need to replace the directional indicator switch on the column.
Are they available? I'd also like to relocate the high/low beam switch to the column so same question.
In aircraft construction/restoration we routinely use rigid aluminum hydraulic line for brake systems wherever possible for weight savings. Any compelling reason not to do this on our elans?
And finally, how readily available are new replacement gear ratios for the rear end?
I currently have 4.44:1 (not terribly practical for street use these days) and with limited slip installed.
Thanks,
AMA

Cross referance parts list for Europa - some of these parts are also used in the Elan

I believe that the directional switch is the 125SA

hi/low Lamp switch is the 102SA (maybe) but will probably work for you.

Use cunifer, Don't Fxxk around with it, helicopters don't use brakes to stop!
Brake line lengths

Burtons offer a 3.55 ring and pinion

3.9 are the stock ratio so the 3.55 is like getting a 10% overdrive. I may have some 3.9 pumpkins around.

I've attached some photos showing the switches on my S1.
The indicator switch (with its broken spring) is original and is a Lucas 72SA switch (part #34406A) with a black stalk and an imitation tortoiseshell finishing knob.
(Robinshaw and Ross list this switch as part # 34406D).
The length of the stalk + knob is about 5 1/2 - 5 3/4 inches.
These 72SA switches do come up on Eeeeebay - being listed as Triumph Herald or Courier van switches - but these switches usually have grey stalks and grey knobs (part # 31867).
The main beam/dip switch is a Lucas 71SA switch (part # 34403) - again 5 1/2 - 5 3/4 inches with black stalk and "tortoiseshell" knob.
This switch was designed and sold by Lucas as a 3 position indicator switch - but by stuffing a lump of wood in the mechanism Lotus converted it to a 2 position switch suitable for main/dip.
These 71SA switches also regularly come up on Eeeeebay (as Triumph switches) - but again with either the wrong colour stalk and/or the wrong colour knob. However it appears to be a simple job to replace the stalk with the stalk from your original switch. (Not so easy on the 72SA).
Holden also sell a version of this switch with a black stalk - but a black knob:

The last 2 photos show a "genuine" Lotus 71SA switch which I was lucky enough to spot on Eeeeebay (listed simply as a Lucas Indicator Switch with no mention of Lotus)
