I am looking for someone or some company to repair an Elan wooden steering wheel.
I am in Buffalo NY, but would not be adverse to sending it over seas if that is all that is available.

On the right side of the pond the first name I think of is Len Chandler. I have no personal experience, but have seen many examples of his work, which to my eyes were excellent.

Hello Tony,
No first hand info on him, but have a look at this link.

There is no cure for Lotus, only treatment.

I have had an e-mail exchange with Mike Lempert and he sounds very capable of taking care of any problem your wheel may have. I will probably be sending my wheel to him at some point for a new rim. However I haven't actually had work done by him or seen his work (other than on the web site) so I don't have real first-hand knowledge, either. Turn-around is likely to be lengthy (months) so you need to have another wheel available, or have it done during the winter.

I love the sound of a torque wrench in the morning. Sounds like... progress.
