steering column bushings

PostPost by: rdssdi » Tue Aug 18, 2009 12:45 pm

Is there a "secret" to installing new bushing in the steering column? It seems rather hit or miss aligning the bushing "pegs" while driving them in place.
Also, is there an up-rated part available? The replacement parts I have seem rather cheap and crude.

thanks

Bob,

These bushes are crude, you need to use plenty of rubber grease in the tube and one the bush, line up the raised rubber "buttons" with the holes in the column and hope for the best.
