Ulf ,
I have one Mark IV , 3 branchs , thin slots and red leather on special order ... Was the best before Tony Thompson put a 26R steering wheel in my hands ...
Let's have a look :

Hello Ian, there's a bunch of info here on Elan.net about steering wheels. Any wheel that fits a Triumph Spitfire steering column will bolt right on with no other mods. I've got a very decent looking early seventies example on my +2. They can be found cheap, not wood (not leather either but can be covered) and sturdier than the original.
Bonjour Christian, tres bonne et merci. Your photos are great and your text gives me a chance to work on my French! Your car est magnifique.

You can always treat the old girl to an original wheel...the car would look good too

this one's for a 130 S, but there are often wheels on there for the earlier cars.
