Vinyl seat repairs?

PostPost by: Spyder fan » Mon Mar 25, 2013 10:46 am

Can anyone recommend a good vinyl seat repairer in the South East of England? My original S4 seats are being replaced with some very posh leather items and I would like to get them repaired before I put them into storage ready for the next project.

As can be seen in the photo below the drivers seat is tearing in the normal area where the seat back meets the squab, the passenger side is perfect. They are far too good to re-cover and are totally original, I'm not actively looking for another car, but no doubt something will turn up and I will kick myself if I don't keep these.

Here are the new seats, they have perforated leather in the areas the originals would have the basket weave vinyl.

Oxted Trimming, in Oxted, Surrey, did a good job on my oatmeal seats. PM is you want contact details.

Very nice leather seats, Alan. Did you get them covered or did you buy just the covers?

Hi Vernon,
They even smell nice :) I had them covered by a very good trimmer used by Spyder, they tagged them onto another order for a complete +2 interior to help with the cost. I had the seat frames completely refurbished before covering, they are literally better than new.

Wow, nice seats. Interesting pull up hand brake lever on the tunnel top.
