Spacing of heater box to dash board

Could someone provide the measurement from the base of the dash board to the front of the heater box at the vertical portion of the box?

I am finishing up my wiring loom and want to check clearances for wire, connectors, heater trunking, stereo, glove box, etc. I have the dash and heater box removed from the car with the body located elsewhere for a repaint, so cannot get the clearances with the required accuracy.

Stu - I *might* be able to help a bit. My dash is off but the heater is in. So I can give you a measurement from the dash's tunnel bracket or from the body. Let me know if that (or anything else) helps and I'll stop by the shop and measure whichever points might work.

Stuart, re clearance behind dashboard. This might be too late to help you now, but using right angle or "flag" spade connectors (instead of straight connectors) saves a lot of depth behind the switches and clocks; it also puts less strain on the wiring.

Kieth, yes the dimension from the heater box to the bracket would be very helpful.

Gerry, I used the flags for the headlamp switch as I recalled them as being very tight to the heater when I took the dash apart. I have the fail safe type with the two micro switches built into the vacuum switch. Hoping the others will fit, but might need some modifications.
