Differential Clean Out

I started a previous thread in relation to my output shaft fracturing and, in the process, terminating my alloy diff housing
I have the diff out now and there are metal fragments all through it. I can rinse petrol through it, etc, but I'm not sure whether this will be effective enough in ensuring clean faces on the bearings, etc.
The diff was fine apart from a small whine at 50 mph - maybe I should get it cleaned and rebuilt.
If anyone has suggestions on cleaning it out then that would be great - in any case, all advice appreciated.
Cheers
