Have you searched the archives on Elan.net? try "donut", "CV" and
"u-joint" in addition to "rotoflex"

I was wondering the same question as Jens. I am restoring my S4 & at
present & am still looking at using donuts. I have not noticed over the
past three years that I have been a member of this list anyone mention
where to buy good quality donuts. I have seen several posts from members
who say that they still use donuts, but no info as to where to purchase
them. Sue Miller does not carry them because of the poor quality. What
do the single seat racers use?

In the November issue 2005 of Practical Classics
they have a comprehensive 'Buyer Lotus Elan' article.
Here it says that its three types of conversiones
avaliable, they are all more durable than the
original doughnut joints and costing about the
same as the standard system.
Thanks to Paul Matty and Peter Crouch - owner of
the car in the article.
Cheers
