Many thanks...am wondering how much "roadcrap" this will keep off the calipers,or wether it would just act as a shelf for it??

They are a bit of a shelf yes, for bits of grit and such. Not sure as to there effectiveness in keeping 'dust' out as I haven't done too many dirty miles yet!

They do make jacking even more of a pain too..

John et al, at the risk of most likely being wrong, I think the "shields" fitted to the lower A frames of the Plus 2 S130s were some kind of aerodynamic aide to flatten the underside of the car. Maybe some drag reduction? So nothing to do with the brakes as such.

However, whether they are effective for this purpose or could produce a nasty surprise with suspension movement would be pure speculation.

So with a bit of luck I could keep all the roadcrap off my callipers and discs and at the same time increase my acceleration,top speed and roadholding!!!!....can't wait,clever man that Colin...

John, I could just about guarantee that those A frame mounted sheets are of absolutely no use in terms of shielding the brakes. Do they offer any aerodynamic advantage? About 8 years before Lotus got serious with F1 underbody aerodynamics?

Probably related to making it a world car along with things like getting rid of three-eared spinners, Strombergs to meet fed guidelines--covering up rotating parts regardless of where they are on the car? Gordon Sauer
