Diff issues coming?

Hi ,
I noticed a noise from the driveline / Diff at the end of the season when pushing my Lotus Elan S2 in 2nd gear. So I lifted the car as every winter, removed the tires and did my inspections. I thought it may be the u joints but after checking them they seem good as were the donuts with no leaks around the diff. I tried to hear where the click came from to no avail.. So I put the left wheel on and rotated the tire 10-15% back and forth quickly . All seemed good so I decided to do the circumference of the wheel about 15% each time. I found that there was a small area that when I moved it quickly the click came. This was done in neutral. Now I will do the same on the right side which seemed better several weeks ago when checking the u joints.. It just seems to be one spot on the left side.

Thanks for your input,
