Hi All,
After a recent chassis change on my +2 I've started driving the car a bit...a lot....more again and I've discovered that I have an issue with (at least) one of my CVs on my Mick Miller CV drive shafts. Plenty of miles on them
What CVs are used in the Mick Miller CV Driveshafts?
Mine are from around 2006/2007.
I'm having difficulty contacting Sue these days so am asking here.
Many thanks in advance,
Peter

I believe Sue gave the plans etc to Kelvedon Lotus who still supply them, i believe the shafts are made and assembled by Shaftec.
Sue had some issues with them and stopped selling them and i understand there were some slight tweaks made to the design by Kelsport to fix this but the parts are still interchangeable.

Hi
early Mick miller CV drive shafts with the bolts and serrated washer setup will take the following
Demon tweaks sell genuine GKN CV,s GKN301142
You can get cheaper but not as good you take your choice
now type unmodified no4 25 splines x 100mm.

Wow!
Thank you all!
I contacted Kelvedon after Grizzly's response and they reverted very quickly.
Worst case scenario, at the time, would have been to buy new units from them. But they offered to help when we had identified what we needed.
In the end, one of the circlips had chewed up/worn its groove in the shaft and we repaired that. Some splines were worn at the extreme end of the shaft so that, with the circlip floating, the shaft was pulling out enough to mean there was no drive at times on that wheel.
Interesting to see the mix of CVs and differences in shaft spline as a result through the years.
I had thought mine were early, Ford based, units. Mine were supplied with the crimple washers. Sue may also have mentioned Sierra CVs to me a the time.
However, my garage is pretty sure the CVs in mine are VW....
Anyway, car is moving (very well) now and I'll park this problem and enjoy driving!
Actually, REALLY enjoy driving!
I recently replaced the back suspension properly for the first time in my ownership of the car and....
Holy Sh1t! Amazing!!! Another level of road-holding!! And i already though it was fantastic!
Thanks again guys
Peter
