Drive Shaft Outer - Bearing Orientation

I am in the process of rebuilding my rear struts and refitting the outer drive shafts with new bearings.
Before I go too much further I would like to check that the inner bearing is the correct way round. I have fitted this with the extended inner part of the race projecting outwards towards the small circlip and hub etc. This is as my disassembly notes from many years ago and appears to be as shown in the Workshop manual.
Would someone please confirm this is the correct orientation.
Many thanks
Gary

hi Gary,
that's good news. Sometimes you need to trim the rubber seal on the bearing very carefully with a Stanley knife. This helps when assembled to put the dust sheild and big circlip in place.
good luck
