Early +2 rear exhaust options

I'm looking to replace the whole exhaust system on my early (transverse silencer) +2. Can anyone tell me what options I have, and has anyone replaced a transverse silencer for a 'straight' S130 silencer?
I figure the body under the boot is shaped would be different? Photos would be great as I've been googling but without any real success.
Thanks, Ian

Agreed the early exhaust looks neater. And now I've seen a later system, I can see there's no way of easily fitting it without some serious work.
Can new stainless systems be had from the usual suppliers? Everywhere I've looked seem to list the later system but not the transverse system.

Ian,
Sue Miller lists the transverse silencer system in stainless steel in her +2 parts list
prices as of 2012 (last price list I have)
Manifold ?216
Y piece ?60
Centre pipe ?58.20
Transverse silencer ?165.00
Expect these prices to have gone up a little.... contact 01728-603307, Sue is the nicest Lotus Elan parts supplier I know as well as being extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Sometimes a little difficult to contact, best times to phone are mornings. Sue doesn't do emails or internet.
Website is here, but it's very old school, don't forget to ask for a parts list with your order http://www.mickmillerlotus.com/intro.html
