TT Silenser

PostPost by: Alasdair » Mon Nov 14, 2011 5:42 pm

Would anyone have experience with Tony Tomsons TTREX 006 SILENCER S1/S2/S3 LARGE BORE, fitment and sound? As we know getting a food sounding silencer for the early Elans is not easy.

The original may be OK but as the S3 SS we require it for was upgraded by Vegantune years ago, I think to limiting/restricting in bore size? Or, any other after market recommendations?

Thanks in advance.
Alasdair.

I suppose that Vegantune WOULD be the manufacturer of choice if you really do want a food sounding silencer.

Depends whether you are a Vegan or not. Now I know someone who would like a Food Pounding Slicer for Christmas, as it happens!

Sorry Alasdair, not very helpful, I know ...

Alasdair

I am running one on my Sprint which has a Vegantune engine. My spec is a fast road (not race) (155 BHP when dyno'd).

I am using the TTR airbox too which albeit v. expensive, seems to have opened up the performance - it runs really well on this set up.

It isn't the quietest car on the road but it does retain the twink sound - just a little louder. Sounds great when I floor it.

Good luck
