Hi Folks
Preparing the chassis ready for the body to go on in the next few weeks. Could someone with a +2S around 1973 ideally with the Spyder Chassis ( circa 1991), standard twin cam engine, and the 4 branch fabricated tube exhaust (1/4 and 2/3 combined --I have the Sue Miller one to fit) take a photo so that I can see what it looks like looking straight down. want to judge what it looks like with regard to the proximity of the exhaust pipes to the body work.
Just want to be sure that I have enough clearance. My own pre strip down pictures are not clear enough in this area.
many thanks if someone could do that
cheers
Bob

Thanks very much Jeremy
Picture are very helpful but the one I would really like I have shown in the attached word file based upon the third of your pictures. The reason for the question is that I have a genuine "L" block twink to put in whereas the old engine was based upon a 711M block and was quite a bit wider.
It looks as though you have spacers on the exhaust side engine mountings and I am going to have to do that and I am hoping the picture will help me gauge the spacers to make up. what size spacers did you use? they seem to be clearly seen on the third picture.
I wanted to get the engine positioned properly sorted as when the body goes back I am hoping it will fit first time ( same chassis cleaned up and same body refurbished).
Thanks for the help
your car does look very nice hopefully mine will look as good!
regards
